I feel bad for the kid. I know what it feels like to be ridiculed based on appearance/wardrobe, but in his case I'm sure he's noticed and ridiculed far more than I ever was.
I hate that school systems can abuse their power in the respect of the students. He's not wearing gang signs or drug T-shirts or short-shorts or anything... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I feel school levels of tolerance have gone way downhill.
It was nice and all for his fellow students to Facebook their protest and even debate wearing T-shirts for his cause, but isn't that just making a bigger deal out of something that isn't really that major to begin with?
This kind of subject really gets me going, if you hadn't noticed. It's because I believe so strongly in self-expression.
But I do have one question: Yes, he's wearing girl clothes, but how is he acting? Is he disturbing the school with his attitude? Acting crazy or annoying or distracting?
If he's not then it shouldn't be such a big deal. Let him wear whatever he wants.
